Frequently asked questions
I don't speak much Japanese. Is that OK?
Yes. You can talk with us in English.
My child's Japanese is still developing. Can they keep up?
Yes. In one-on-one lessons, the tutor explains in Japanese your child can follow. You can also start by strengthening Japanese (kokugo, kanji, writing).
Japanese cram schools don't suit my child. What can we do?
We hear this often. Japanese cram schools group students assuming Japanese is their first language, so when language and academic ability don't match, lessons feel too hard or too easy. One-on-one tutoring can match your child's real level, and it can be combined with a cram school.
My child goes to an international school. Can you help?
Yes. We can help with Japanese and with preparing for Japanese entrance exams. For school subjects taught in English, we look for a tutor who can teach in English.
Can lessons be in English?
Lessons are mainly in Japanese. If you would like lessons or explanations in English, we look for a tutor who can teach in English.
Is the trial lesson really free?
Yes. The 60-minute trial lesson and consultation are free (once per student). If you continue, tuition is 5,000 yen per 60 minutes, with no enrollment, agency or cancellation fees.
