These Terms of Service (the "Terms") set out the conditions for using the tutor introduction service (the "Service") provided by IUMe ("we" or "us").

Article 1 (Scope)

These Terms apply to all relationships between users and us relating to the use of the Service.

Article 2 (The Service)

The Service introduces tutor candidates to users who are looking for a private tutor. After the introduction, the tutoring agreement, scheduling and payment of tuition are handled directly between the user and the tutor.

Article 3 (Prohibited conduct)

Conduct that violates laws, regulations or public order and morals
Conduct related to criminal acts
Conduct that interferes with the operation of the Service
Improperly collecting or using personal information about other users or tutors
Conduct that infringes the rights or interests of us or any third party

Article 4 (Tutoring agreement)

Lesson content, fees, schedule, rescheduling and other tutoring conditions are agreed between the user and the tutor. Displayed prices include tax. Please pay tuition by bank transfer to the account designated by the tutor. For in-person lessons, the user bears the full cost of the tutor's transportation, as well as the cost of any teaching materials purchased. There is no obligation to purchase materials designated by IUMe. Cancellations and rescheduling are free of charge. Please arrange the schedule directly with the tutor.

Article 5 (Free trial lesson and free consultation)

We offer a free trial lesson and a free consultation on exams and studies (together, the "Free Trial") to people considering the Service, under the following conditions.

The Free Trial is for the student themself, from elementary school through high school and students preparing to retake entrance exams. The trial lesson is limited to one lesson of up to 60 minutes per student.
The trial lesson is held online (video call). The date and time are decided after coordinating with us or the assigned tutor.
The Free Trial is free of charge. Taking the Free Trial does not oblige you to continue using the Service or to enter into a tutoring agreement.
After the Free Trial, we will not contact you to encourage you to continue. If you wish to continue, please contact us. Tutoring conditions after that follow Article 4.
To change or cancel the schedule, please contact us or the assigned tutor before the trial lesson starts. If you repeatedly cancel without notice, we may decline to offer another Free Trial.
Due to a tutor's schedule or other unavoidable circumstances, we may not be able to offer the Free Trial at your preferred date and time. In that case, we will suggest other dates.

Article 6 (Introducing another tutor)

If the user feels the tutor is not a good fit, we will suggest other tutor candidates at no additional charge.

Article 7 (Referral benefit)

When a family using the Service (the "Referrer") refers another family (the "Referred Family") and the Referred Family starts using the Service, we give a benefit to both the Referrer and the Referred Family under the following conditions.

The benefit is given when the Referred Family decides to continue after the Free Trial and we confirm payment of their first tuition.
The benefit is a discount of 5,000 yen from the following month's tuition. We compensate the tutor for the discounted amount, so the amount the tutor receives does not change. If there are no lessons in the following month, the discount is applied in the next month in which tuition is charged.
The benefit cannot be exchanged for cash or anything else.
We confirm that an application came through a referral by the "Referrer's name" field on the application form, a referral link, or a message on our official LINE. If we cannot confirm the referral at the time of application, we may not be able to give the benefit.
There is no limit on the number of families you can refer.
Referrals by tutors, applications by the Referrer themself or their family, and any case we judge to be improper are not eligible.
We may change this Article or end the benefit by posting on this website. This does not affect benefits for referrals made before the change or end.

Article 8 (Disclaimer)

We are not responsible for transactions, communications, disputes or the like between the user and a tutor or any third party, except where caused by our intent or gross negligence.

Article 9 (Changes to these Terms)

We may change these Terms when we consider it necessary. The changed Terms take effect when posted on this website.
